A Cold Snap

Global warming has frozen the cross-shaped lake that has formed over the foundations for our new house. The shower cut-out this morning as I was in mid soap due to the water pipe supplying the caravan having frozen overnight.

Colin and Barry are hoping to start the blockwork for the base next week, but they'll need a submersible pump to drain the lake first.

Couldn't you just get yourself a half decent bottle of single malt whiskey, pour it into the lake and thus reduce the freezing point of the mixture? There again you could drink the malt and leave the puddle to take care of itself.

What did you do about the soap problem?

Well officer, I know the fact that I'm naked and covered in soap looks a bit odd, but....

:)

Are you slowly stealing the Everest Glacier? Boy, are you ever in trouble...

Alan: I'll take the 2nd option. Much more convivial.

Bee: Just managed to get it rinsed from my hair before the water died. Had tyo towel the rest off, but smelled delicious all day.

Steve: 'Ello, 'ello, 'ello!

Kabbalah: That's me. ;o)

We have a gas bottle ('bombola' in Italian) for the shower. We like to play Russian roulette at 6am ... which of us is going to reach the end of the bottle first ...

Louise: We have 2, with an automatic switch-over (me).
