Well, I did say I'd get a windsurfing board... A bargain at £40 on Facebook Marketplace.
So, on the 14th September, after dropping No.2 Son off at Winchester University to begin his stint there, we'll swing by Poole to collect it before returning home.
Later, in October, we're off to Oxwich Bay in the Gower, where I'll learn to use it along a perfect coastal stretch for this activity. Meanwhile it will be refurbished and any damage will be expertly repaired by Gav, my tame bodywork repair man and sprayer.
Anyone got a kite surfer or old parachute for sale for next year's challenge?

Well...it was only £40 and it might have enough volume to support your lady wife but here's a thought - you know someone who has worked in the watersports/marine industry all his life and who owned a windsurfing shop and school - he might be able to point you in the right direction?
