Oligarchy in a Union Flag

So Elon Musk beamed himself into Tommy Robinson’s street pantomime and told 100,000 flag-wavers that “violence will come to you” and that they must “fight back or die.” Within hours bottles were being lobbed at police horses. Some coincidence.

Then he demanded the “dissolution of Parliament.” A foreign billionaire calling for Britain’s elected government to be torn down. And not even the guilty government. It was the Conservatives who launched the asylum hotels, who smashed up the system and left a backlog big enough to house whole towns. They were voted out. Labour inherited the mess. Musk does not care. He just wants the right wing back in charge because that suits him. There's method to his madness.

This is not about free speech or saving Britain. It is a man richer than most countries throwing his weight around, hoping nobody notices that the game is rigged. A right wing government, whipped up on culture war and fear of migrants, would roll back regulation, open the door to sweetheart deals, and keep the billionaires comfortable.

And Robinson’s bovine-brained mob lap it up. They think Musk is standing shoulder to shoulder with them. In reality they are extras in his stage play, waving Union Flags while he lines up the real prize – influence. That is the oligarch’s trick. Wrap your interests in patriotic bunting, talk about “the people”, and count on the crowd not to see the con.

So yes, Britain is being hollowed out. Not by asylum seekers. Not by a Labour government barely in the door. But by billionaires who parachute in, pose as champions, and leave others to do their dirty work. Oligarchy never looked so cheap.
