BBQ Time

A while ago, Hay bought two, collapsible, stainless steel BBQs from a guy in Dorset who has a forge and makes all manner of wonderful things from metal.

One is a full size jobbie, sufficient for a family of 4, while the other was a miniature one for rough camping. Being made of stainless, they're fairly heavy and so, for rough camping, it has to be small.

Hay put the miniature one through its paces over the weekend and it performed admirably with Waitrose peppered burgers (the only ones I can stomach and actually taste of beef) and seared veggies.

Sadly, the chap who made them no longer does so. That's because the price of stainless steel has gone through the roof and they're now prohibitively expensive.
