Poor Old Railway

Poor old Railway, the feral cat we feed, seems to have been at it again, only days after having received some battle scars.

He's a glutton for punishment. So long as we keep feeding him and he's robust, he should recover fully, but this can't go on and on. It's impossible to touch him to administer any antibiotics, so he has to just get on with it himself.

Garage doors collection today - going early to ensure I can get into the car park with the trailer and will then decide on the route back. I have two choices - through the country roads (all A roads, but longer) or through Yate and Chipping Sodbury. The former will be less populated by cars, but the latter is predominantly urban dual carriageways of one, wide lane either side and a central reservation, although I do have to negotiate a narrow section of road under a railway tunnel.

The doors are 7 foot wide and will be laid horizontal on the trailer, resting on the trailer sides (they're not that heavy), but they will stick out 6 inches on either side beyond the wheels and mudguards, and the trailer is quite wide to start with.

I'll probably choose the backroads.
