FIFA; "Focus on the game and avoid political issues."
Brexiteers; "Just move on and stop talking about Brexit - you lost."
Both are attempts to evade having to talk about disastrous decisions that are an acute embarrassment to those who made those decisions.
An additional accusation from Brexiteers is that Remainers are trying to blame everything on Brexit. However no-one, absolutely no-one is blaming everything on Brexit - it's a straw man. While Brexit is undoubtedly the direct cause of many issues, it also has made most of the unrelated bad things even worse.
