Barn Finds

Overheard on Messenger when The Chairman directs a driver delivering a tree to Sir James Dyson's estate:

A work colleague took me to see a car dealership in Wickwar - Wilcox's. The place looks relatively small from the road, but it goes on forever once you get inside. To the rear is a plethora of buildings containing a treasure trove of classic cars and car parts.

The Mini Cooper above has only 53 miles on the clock.

A mint condition GT6.

1275 GT.

Another old mini with less than 100 miles on the clock.

Austin A35.

A Triumph Roadster, like the one Bergerac drove.

Apparently there are only 2 of these cars in the world and the garage owner has one.

Mini Pick-up.

The owner, Tim Wilcox, won't part with any of these cars, the majority of which were taken in part exchange. The acres and acres of BL parts were all bought from the original factories when they went bust. Tim must be a millionaire several times over in assets.

The main building used to be a brewery malthouse in the 60s, which his very astute father bought for £3,000 in the late 60s. Since then it has been added to over the years.
