Why are Swiss bank accounts called Numbered Swiss Accounts? All bank accounts have a number!

I guess it's because they just had a number and not a name associated with them?
I always fancied one of those, very James Bond, sadly you need something to put in it though :(
I have an account in Switzerland with numbers. Perhaps if you have a laundered account they give you more numbers as you have loads more dosh!

I don't know but those words about Swiss bank accounts take me back to sophisticated criminals in old films. Didn't peter sellers have one, in a film somewhere? And Michael Caine? Are you thinking of opening one up yourself then? xxx
