What Has Happened to Lidl Veg

The quality of Lidl's fruit and veg seems to have taken a nosedive since the start of the year..

  • Strawberries that go rotten if not eaten well within 24 hours.
  • Avocados that are black when you open them.
  • Garlic that rots within a week.
  • Cauliflowers that are sprouting on the aisle.
  • Packets of mange touts where you have to throw away some of them.
  • Potatoes start sprouting within a couple of days.
  • Yellowed broccoli.

What is going on? Is it just me who has noticed this?

I think I'll start buying more from our local greengrocer on Chipping Sodbury High Street. I already prefer using the local butcher - he's more expensive, but the quality is far superior to supermarket meat.
