Hypocrisy - the New Murder

Harry and Meghan are coming under fire from the right wing gutter press again (no surprise there). This time for using a fleet of '5 gas guzzling SUVs' at an event in New York. This labels them as eco-hypocrites.

Now, hypocrisy is the new murder - no, it's worse than murder for right wing, oil lobby sycophants who look for any excuse to label those they don't like as hypocrites.

A simple Google search will reveal that Harry and Meghan use a company called TorchStone to provide them with security. TorchStone are the experts and have provided security for Presidents of the United States.

Harry and Meghan don't live in New York, they live in California, so it's unlikely in the extreme they flew 5 of their own cars to New York. TorchStone will have arranged the necessary transport, selecting the best vehicles for the purpose, which would presumably have extra features not available in the average, off the shelf models from Rent-A-Car and therefore hired some from a company that specialises in close protection vehicles.

It's highly unlikely that anyone has made a close protection EV. In fact, I can't find a single mention of one on Google. They're all huge SUVs with heavy, bulletproof armour which require large, V8 engines.

Chevrolet SUVs seem to be the choice of US close protection personnel, whereas specialist Range Rovers are preferred in the UK. Strange they don't have a go at the Royal family for adopting exactly the same protection strategy.

If the papers that seem to specialise in negative stories about Harry and Meghan have a problem with their choice of vehicles when not at home, perhaps they need to have a word with the experts - TorchStone or the companies that convert cars into protection vehicles.

There again, we know what the right wing press thinks of experts. They supported their expert, Truss.

Given that the right wing gutter press ar responsible for the problem in the first place why don't they stop all the promotion of hate?
