As the great Dorothy Parker once said "The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity". So worry not, there is no cure for what you and I suffer from.
I just stumbled upon you through Kat and I can't wait to go through a few older posts but I can already tell that I'll be echoing those commenters who said.....oh no! I hope not!
My hunch is that it will prove to be temporary . . . I think that ranting is deeply engrained in you, CB.
Also, many thanks for the fantastic words of wisdom from the ancient world. It is either funny and/or depressing to think that managers haven't changed much.
You asked: Why is that? Because you are our opium, Chairman Bill. We read your words and get stoned until the next blog post. If you dont post, we sober up and get turn into an angry mob.
The random, but sometimes surprisingly connected (but not necessarily lucid), stream-of-consciousness thoughts of an optimistic, heavy drinking, cantankerous, iconoclastic, foul-mouthed, devil worshipping misogynist who gets into fist-fights and lived in a damp barge in the arse end of the Thames and now lives in a caravan and loves to slaughter cats by the flinty light of a full moon while reading poetry.

ReplyDeleteHave you stopped smoking?
ReplyDeleteI seem to have lost the ability to rant.
