Family history

It's just nice to know that my grandfather has a place on the web. He's never been here before you know, so it's a new experience for him. Please make him feel welcome.

It would be nice if you could click on him a few times, just to improve his Google ranking so he shows up on an image search.

I love the way the web gives us the power of virtual reincarnation. Welcome back to life Johannes.

PS - he wasn't an Italian waiter.

The bow tie versus the moustache, eh?

Jinksk: There is something of the continental waited about his clothes, but it was his mess kit.

what a great idea! I welcomed him with a few clicks. Hope it didn't tickle. I wouldn't want this to get weird.

After much deliberation (and a few clicks), I have decided that, apart from sharing a first name with the inventor of the printing press, he could be the natural son of Harry Secombe and Victoria Wood.

It's good to be back here but I see that didn't miss any serious ranting (although I was very shocked to see A Woman of No Importance use a four-letter word, sacre bleu).

Hope Hay is feeling better and please say hi. And a big Hello to the the delightful irascible fairy who took my absence as an excuse to come here and talk about Prince Albert which meant that I had to go and look it up and now I know more about the subject than I really wanted to!

I used a four-letter word, ever so sorry my dearest Kapgaf, but since I left my order with that waiter gentleman I have been reduced to drinking the table wine and chewing my own fingers in desperation... I don't think much of this Italian restaurant, do you?!
