Busy, busy, busy

Again I have little time to post (off to Christchurch in a few minutes), so I'll leave you with some more photos of the motors at the Heddington Steam Rally last weekend.

Had one of these (Triumph Dolimite Sprint).

Wish I had one of these (Bristol).

Had one of these, but a 110 rather than a 60. Called it Battlestar Galactica.

Lust after one of these.

Morgan 3 Wheelers .

MG

Had one of these, but in Wolsey Hornet livery.

Rebuilt more of these than I care to remember - 4 at least.

This one's a bit of a bugger to drive - keeps wanting to take to the air (WWII Rolls Royce Merlin engine).

Love the photos. My father used to have a Morgan 3 wheeler. My mother made him sell it after he turned it over when the wheel got stuck in the tram-lines at Bull Green, Halifax way back in the 1930s. Have a good trip to Christchurch.

Excellent photos. I owned two Dolomites in my time and loved them both. They were prone to head warping though. The Bristol and the Rover are my favourites. I'd take a Bristol over a Rolls any day.

Alan: A pal of mine used to have one. He used the motor from a Japanese plastic toy to drive the windscreen wiper.

Dave: The Bristol does have elegant lines, does it not? I once drove my Rover 110 from Southport to London with no water in the rad. It was terrifically overcooled with having an oil cooler.

Great shots. Used to go to the Steam fair thing at Enfield. Always rained.

I know Christchurch. Been on holiday there. Do you know Mudeford? with all those beach huts? we slept in one - it was awful xxx

Love the photos. I like looking at vintage cars - I must have been to at least three different events this year where classic cars were on view.

Battlestar Galactica is a great name for a car.

Jenny: I only go there to work. I think you have to be over 80 to live there.

Liz: The name was given to the car due to it's ability to drive away unscather from a 15 car pile-up on the M1 - and being the only car to do so. Totally wreched the back end of a Ford Orion and the front of a VW Sirocco. I was about No. 10 in the pile-up.
